Whatever your arrival time at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your Easy Travel driver-guide will be waiting for you with a warm welcoming smile. Kick back and relax in your comfortable vehicle as he takes you to your hotel in Arusha, Tanzania’s self-styled ‘safari capital.’ On your journey to the hotel, you will get a brief impression of this large, bustling, commercial city. Depending on your arrival time, you may have your pre-safari briefing today; if not, it will take place early tomorrow morning.
Our two-hour journey takes us westwards from Arusha. Along the route, your eyes will be opened to all the colours and character of Tanzania: perhaps some Maasai herdsmen driving their flocks of goats to new pastures.
You’ll get to know your driver-guide, amazed at his depth of knowledge as he effortlessly answers all your questions. From Lake Manyara, our afternoon journey to Ngorongoro will take us around 2 hours.
Safari (Game Drive) in Lake Manyara National Park
After our lunch, we jump in our vehicle to cover the highlights of this park. Set against the rugged Rift Valley escarpment, and characterised by its shimmering lake, Manyara is rich in vegetation and the wildlife that thrives here.
Enjoy the tranquillity as majestic pink flamingos wade elegantly, picking out a meal of algae from the shallow, alkaline waters.
On land, Manyara’s terrain is compact, yet boasts differing environments such as diverse forests fed by waters seeping from the nearby escarpment. Monkeys are abundant, but look out too for the lions, giraffe, warthog and grumpy Cape buffalo who all call this park ‘home’. Hold your nose when we reach the hippo pool, because these big lumps smell!
After our game drive, we journey on Kizumba Campsite.
After breakfast, you'll depart for Ngorongoro Crater; sometimes considered as the 8th Wonder of the World.
Home to over 120 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought after safari destinations in the world. It's a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water.
From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you'll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa's most recognisable faces.
The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, cape buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa's premier safari destinations.
After the thrills and excitement of the day, you will have a picnic lunch by the park's famous hippo pool. Thereafter, you will drive back to Arusha.

3 Days Manyara And Ngorongoro Experience
This tour is offered by;
Booked a 4-day safari encompassing Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Were very responsive in all communication from the first contact and Salim, our tour designer, managed to book a custom package in accordance with our wishes on a very short notice. The accommodation was excellent throughout. Livingstone, our driver and guide, was simply phenomenal - he knows literally everything about the area and its flora and fauna and seemed to have a sixth sense about where to find the different species of animals.
Consequently, the tour never had a dull moment as there was always something new to see. We might have been lucky, but during a relatively short safari we saw cheetahs, leopards, lions, rhinos and a crocodile as well as the more numerous elephants, zebras and impalas. A particularly nice touch (which others have mentioned) is the warm lunch, which we enjoyed using metal plates, goblets and cutlery so no concerns about plastic waste :) In short - Budget Safaris Tanzania are professionals from start to finish and we had the trip of a lifetime.
