The Marangu Route is one of the most popular and accessible routes for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Known as the "Coca-Cola Route," it is often chosen due to its relatively comfortable accommodations in huts and its gradual ascent. Here's a comprehensive overview of a 5-day trek on the Marangu Route, including details on the best time to go, the itinerary, altitude points, and estimated prices.
Best Time to Go:
The best time to trek the Marangu Route is during the dry seasons: from late June to early October and from late December to early March. These periods offer clearer skies and less rainfall, providing the best conditions for a successful climb.
