Overview:
Mikumi National Park was established in1964 covering an area of 1070 square kilometers; it was later extended in 1975 to cover the current area of 3,230 square kilometers. Mikumi NP is sharing a common border and ecosystem with Nyerere NP to the south. The park is the seventh largest National Park in Tanzania and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam throughout the year.

Your driver guide will pick you from your hotel, ferry or airport and start driving to Mikumi National Park Approximately 5 to 6 hours’ drive from dar es Salaam. You will stop on the way for hot lunch. After Lunch you will proceed to Mikumi NP for game drive until sunset.
Animals commonly found in this park Include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra and elephants and many more. Wild dog can be seen in packs here. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.

fter breakfast you will go out for full day game drive in Mikumi National Park with the option of hot lunch at the lodge, then go out again for afternoon game drive until late evening.

Wake up for early morning game drive until 08:00am then drive to the cottage for breakfast. After breakfast you will check out and proceed with game drive until 11:30am then start driving to Dar es salaam. You will stop in Morogoro town for hot lunch.
On arrival in Dar es Salaam your driver will drop you off at place of your choice.
