Kibale Forest National Park is mostly known for Chimpanzee Trekking. There is however much more to Kibale Forest than the chimpanzees of Kibale Rainforest, Kibale is one of the most diverse parks in Uganda. The Forest is not only rainforest but patches of grassland savanna and swamps. Kibale Forest is connected to Queen Elizabeth Park through 180-kilometer-long wildlife corridor that even extends beyond Kibale Forest.
In Kibale Forest you can find Red Tailed Monkeys, Lhotse’s Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, gray-cheeked Mangabeys Monkeys, Red Columbus, Black and White Columbus and Olive Baboons.

After an early morning breakfast in your hotel, transfer to Kibale forest heading west past Mityana town and have a stopover in Fort Portal town for lunch. From here, you will go to the crater lakes with impressive views of the Rwenzori Mountain’s foothills. Proceed to Kibale forest arriving in the evening. Sign in to the Crater safari lodge/ Kyaninga lodge for your dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast with packed lunch, report to the park headquarters for briefing and proceed for chimpanzee tracking. This can take you half a day. There are other primates in the area like the golden monkey, Lhotse monkey, baboons, white and black Columbus monkeys, grey checked Mangabeys, red Columbus, and blue monkeys. Other animals include forest elephants unique from the common type, giant forest hogs and a striking tree species. Return to the lodge.

After an early morning breakfast, transfer back to Entebbe with traversing homesteads, plateaus, forests among others with lunch en-route. Drop off at Entebbe airport for your flight back home.
