This 10-day itinerary will take you through diverse landscapes, from lush rainforests to alpine deserts, culminating with the breathtaking sunrise from Uhuru Peak.

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. Rest and prepare for the climb.

Drive from your hotel to the Londorossi Gate for registration.
Begin the trek through the rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp.

Hiking time: 3–4 hours
Altitude: 2,800m to 3,610m
Hike across the Shira Plateau, offering stunning views of the volcanic formations.
Distance: Approx. 8km
Hiking time: 5-7 hours
Altitude: 3,610m to 4,200m
Climb towards the Moir Valley, a more isolated and less-traveled part of the mountain.
Distance: Approx. 14km

Descend to Buffalo Camp through the unique landscapes of the alpine desert.

Trek down to the Great Barranco Wall and then up to Barranco Camp.

Ascend to Barafu Camp, the base camp for the summit attempt.

Summit night! Start the ascent around midnight to reach Uhuru Peak for the sunrise.
Descend to Mweka Camp for the night.

Hiking time: 7-8 hours to the summit, 4-6 hours descent
Altitude: 3,100m to 1,640m
Descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you'll receive your summit certificates.
