Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our team and transferred to your hotel in Moshi, the base for your Kilimanjaro adventure. You will meet your guide for a briefing and equipment check, and you will have some time to relax and prepare for the upcoming trek.
After breakfast, we drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate, the starting point of the Northern Circuit route. After completing the necessary registration and park formalities, we begin our trek through lush rainforests, enjoying the sights and sounds of the unique flora and fauna. Our first campsite, Mti Mkubwa Camp, is nestled in the forest, providing a peaceful setting for the night.
The trail ascends through the moorland zone, offering stunning views of Mount Meru and the vast Shira Plateau. Shira 1 Camp serves as an ideal spot for acclimatisation as we continue to adjust to the increasing altitude.
Continuing through the alpine desert zone, we cross the Shira Plateau to reach Shira 2 Camp. The unique volcanic landscapes and panoramic vistas make this a memorable part of the journey.
Today's trek takes us to higher elevations, and we traverse the Shira Plateau en route to Moir Hut. The northern section of the mountain offers a sense of remoteness and serenity.
Trekking through the less-visited northern slopes, we are rewarded with remarkable views. Buffalo Camp, tucked beneath the Breach Wall, provides a tranquil campsite.
The trail descends gradually, offering a chance to catch our breath and take in the breathtaking scenery. Third Cave Camp provides a vantage point for stunning panoramic views.
As we near the summit, the ascent leads us into the high-alpine desert zone. The school hut serves as the final campsite before the summit attempt. We rest and prepare for the challenging night ahead.
We begin our summit push in the early hours, aiming to reach the peak before sunrise. The path to Stella Point is steep and demanding, leading to the crater rim. From there, we continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After celebrating our achievement, we descend to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.
The final day of the trek takes us through the lush rainforest, a dramatic change from the higher elevations. Upon reaching Mweka Gate, we receive our summit certificates and bid farewell to our mountain crew. We then transfer back to Moshi, where we can enjoy a hot shower and a celebratory dinner.
After breakfast, we say our farewells and transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure. The memories of this incredible Kilimanjaro climbing adventure will stay with you for a lifetime as you return home with a profound sense of accomplishment and the pride of having conquered Africa's highest peak.
