On Day 1 of the 5-Day Kilimanjaro Bike Tour, you will be picked up from the hotel at 8:30 a.m. This morning we drive through the semi-tropical foothills of Kilimanjaro to Marangu Gate, spend a few minutes to register and get the permit, and then drive to Kilema Gate and enter Kilimanjaro National Park and start the climb. Today's route to Horombo Hut is 100% cycling. The 5-Day Kilimanjaro Bike Tour cycling route is 19 kilometres, and the vegetation consists of forest and bog.

On Day 2 of the 5-Day Kilimanjaro Bike Tour After breakfast, you will start your cycling tour through the alpine desert. Some of the areas where you will ride on small stones are up to Mawenzi Hut and back to Horombo Hut. Today, 90% of the riding is on alpine desert vegetation; the bike distance is 10 kilometres.

On Day 3 of the 5-Day Kilimanjaro Bike Tour Get up early and make sure your duffel bags are packed and ready to go for the trek. After breakfast, meet your guide, and we drive back to Kibo Hut. Also, for the first 3 km, you would have to push and carry your bike a lot, with the last 7km to Kibo Hut offering a good bike path. We enjoy lunch and then rest. Around 4 p.m., it is possible, depending on your mood, to hike part of the Kilimanjaro bike tour way up the summit path in order to orientate yourself for the later attempt at the summit at night.

In the barren alpine desert lies Kibo Hut, a stone-built log cabin with bunk beds for 60 climbers but no nearby streams of water. There are pedestal toilets behind the cabin. The summit (Uhuru Peak) is now another 1195m high, and you will make your final Kilimanjaro bike tour climb that same night. Prepare your gear, thermal clothing, etc. for your summit ascent. This should include replacing your headlamp and camera batteries and making sure you have a spare set on hand as well. To prevent freezing, it is advisable to transport your water in a thermos. Go to bed around 7 p.m., and try to get as much rest and sleep as possible by 10 p.m.

On Day 4 of the 5-Day Kilimanjaro Bike Tour At four in the morning, you will be awakened by your guides to begin the zigzag trek up the long screen slope. After about two hours, you should reach Hans Meyer's cave, and from here, the slope gets steeper. Continue your ascent to Gilman's Point for about another three hours. You take your bike from Porters and ride to Uhuru Peak. When you arrive at Uhuru Peak, spend a few minutes there or snap photos, then descend to Stella Point. After lunch, drive down to Horombo. Today your Kilimanjaro bike tour cycled from Kibo to Uhuru, then Kibo, where 15% to 20% of the vegetation is alpine desert, and from Kibo to Horombo, where 100% of the vegetation is alpine desert vegetation or ice cap.

On Day 5 of the 5-Day Kilimanjaro Bike Tour After breakfast, make your final drive down to Kilema Gate via the Alps and Rainforest. At Kilema Gate, you will be transferred to Marangu Gate for check-out and then to the hotel in Moshi.
