This 6–day Umbwe route Kilimanjaro Hiking is the shortest tour packages which has the trekking distance at 53 km or 32 miles to the successful summit at the highest peak about 5895m, above the sea level. Hikers will not get a chance for a good acclimatization due to its steepness and days spend in the mountain with average of success rate about 70%. After breakfast, you will head to the Umbwe Gate. And then trek begins by walking through the rainforest, which is a dense and humid forest, after you've finished the required registration procedures. The trail then becomes more difficult as it ascends the Umbwe ridge. You will arrive at the Umbwe cave campsite in the forest after a few hours of hiking. You'll take a nap and spend the night here.

The journey through the rain forest to the campsite at Barranco continues after breakfast. The Western Breach and the southern glacier are both magnificently visible from the trail as it winds through a rocky ridge. You will arrive at the campsite for the Barranco, which is tucked away in a valley below the Barranco wall, after a few hours of hiking. You'll take a nap and spend the night here.

A steep, rocky cliff known as the Barranco wall is where the trek's ascent begins. The trail turns toward the picturesque Karanga valley, which offers views of the southern glacier, after reaching the top of the wall. After a few hours of hiking, you will arrive at the Karanga campsite, which is perched on a rocky ridge. You'll take a nap and spend the night here.

After breakfast, the journey continues in the direction of the rocky ridge-top campsite at Barafu. The last camp before the summit climb is at Barafu, and the trail becomes steeper as it ascends. You will arrive at the Barafu campsite after a few hours of hiking, where you can rest and get ready for the summit ascent.
Altitude (m): 3930m to 4600m
The summit day is right now. The journey starts in the early morning (around midnight) and ascends to Stella Point, which is situated on the crater rim, when you reach the top, you will start the descent back to the Barafu camp for a break and a meal before making your way to the Mweka campsite for the night.
Altitude (m): 4600m to 5895m (up to 3100m)
The final day's trek begins with a descent through the rainforest to the Mweka gate, which is situated at the foot of the mountain. As soon as you get to the Mweka gate, you'll sign out and get your summit certificates. You can now celebrate your success because your trek is over.
