This 7 days Lemosho route Kilimanjaro Climb is the one of the best package tours to climb Mount Kilimanjaro the tallest mountain in Africa 5,895m. The departure started in Moshi town drive to Lemosho gate, then continues on the western side of the mountain at the Lemosho Gate, hiking crossing Lava Tower-Barancco - Karanga - Barafu the base camp and then descending on the eastern side via Mweka route gate and back to Moshi.
This 7 day gives you more time to acclimatize to the high attitude to reach the summit. Start our adventure by leaving Moshi for a 3 hours’ drive to Lemosho gate, after all the formalities are handled, the drive will continue for one hour to Lemosho trailhead. After arrival lunch will be served and we will start hiking through the wild and thick rainforest which leads to the first camp

After having breakfast in the camp, we will have an early ascent into the heather moorland zone. Along the way we will come across a good number of streams, we will proceed on a plateau that leads to shira 2 campsite. On this site there is an incredible view of the western breach and its glaciers in the east. You will enjoy evening snacks and a tasty dinner.

After having breakfast, we will hike from shira 2 camp and enter the desert and rocky landscape. After a five hour walk we will reach the lava tower and enjoy lunch at the tower. After having lunch, we will descend from the tower to barranco campsite. The descent will take about two hours and after arrival we will spot the popular barranco wall which will be embarked the next day.

We will have a short-day hiking to Karanga camp. After winning the intimidating barranco wall, we follow a sequence of hills and valleys till we reach karanga camp. Enjoy beautiful sunset here with the magnificent sights of glacial valleys and ice fields towering over 3000ft above.

Today is another half day ascending to Barafu Camp. Once again lunch is taken in this high camp, allowing plenty of time to relax before the summit bid. Desolate alpine desert and, at times, strong winds rip over this camp, yet in the evening’s splendid views of Mawenzi peak are the norm. A relatively early dinner is taken before resting for the evening. Overnight at Barafu Camp.

Around midnight you will be woken up to start our trek to the summit. This part is more challenging compared to the other parts of trekking. After packing snacks, we will start trekking to the summit between the rebman and ratzel glaciers through heavy scree up to Stella point on the crater rim.
After reaching stella point we will take a short break and stare at the most beautiful sunrise you are ever likely to see (weather permitting), from there we might encounter snow all the way up to the summit. After reaching the highest peak in Africa, take as many pictures as you can and indulge in your victory, your time here will be brief to avoid altitude sickness.
Start your descent to mweka hut campsite, making a stop at camp for lunch, the trail is a bit rocky and can be harmful to the knees so trekking poles can be helpful here, after reaching the camp we will have our last dinner on the mountain and get some rest.
This will be the last day of our trekking and we will begin it after having tasty breakfast in the camp, our trek to the mweka gate will take about three hours. After reaching the gate you will be ad with a gold certificate for successfully reaching the summit after that we will tweak mweka village and meet our driver who will take you back to your hotel for a long well-earned rest.
