Morning and afternoon game drives are designed to catch wildlife on the move and you can also view the action from above on an optional hot-air balloon safari.
You then trade the grassy savannahs of the Serengeti in the north-east of Tanzania for those of Katavi National Park, tucked away in the little-visited west of the country. There is a great mix of wildlife in Katavi, including elephants and big cats, and one of your days here will be a full-day game drive out on the savannah, complete with a picnic lunch. Your accommodation is Mbali Mbali Katavi, set with sweeping views over the Katisunga Plains, one of the best game-viewing areas in the park.
