This 6-day Kilimanjaro tour via the Rongai route starts with a drive from Moshi at 8:00 a.m. to Rongai Gate. After entry formalities, the hike begins on a wide path winding through fields of maize and potatoes, heading to Montana Forest. You are woken up after your first night on the mountain with a nice cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. After breakfast, you start your climb on a trail, continuing up towards Kibo. For most of the day, you will be walking up slopes flanked by Heather and Erica, with a nice view of the twin peaks of Kilimanjaro—Mawenzi and Kibo—and your first glimpse of the ice fields on the eastern crater rim.

After breakfast, the climber will continue to the steep grassy slope with an exclusive enjoyment of breath-taking views. Soon after passing through vegetation toward Mawenzi, after this climb, you will reach the Mawenzi Tarn Hut Camp, where you will get to witness an undried lake with neither an inlet nor an outlet. Then the day will end here, with lunch and dinner served.

On this day, climbers will have to wake up at midnight, get a light breakfast, and then continue to climb toward Kibo Peak. We cross the lunar desert of the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo to reach Kibo Hut (4695 meters) at the bottom of the crater wall. The remainder of the day is spent resting in preparation for an early morning final ascent.

On this day, climbers will have to wake up at midnight, get a light breakfast, and then continue climbing in order to reach Uhuru Peak before dawn so as to witness the beautiful sunrise. Passing through Gilman Point on the crater rim, we walk to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After enjoying the summit, we descend back to Kibo Hut, where we will rest there until the following day.

This is the last day of the journey after taking breakfast and descending through moorland to Mandara Hut. Then the lunch will be taken there, and we will enjoy the last meal for the last time on the journey. Afterward, the descent will continue through rush forest toward Marangu Gate, where you will sign out and get a certificate of reaching the summit.
