Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park

01

We will depart Kampala after your breakfast and head westwards to Fort Portal town. The drive will take about 4 -5 hours. We will have lunch in Fort Portal and continue to Kibale where you will go for either a community walk or visit the beautiful Crater lakes region for a spectacular view. This is a guided swamp walk that takes you closer seeing primates mostly monkeys, birds and butterflies. This is a 2½ - 3 hour walk and is a must for bird lovers. The walk is almost as popular as the Kibale Forest Walk. You will need good walking shoes since part of the walk is sometimes muddy. Hopefully you will spot the elusive Sitatunga antelope and the Shoebill Stork. This is nothing to be missed. You will meet some of the primates here, even a chimpanzee at times. Other primate species include the black-and-white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed, l’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, and olive baboons. Also, Bushbucks and mongooses and many more can also be found here.

Acommodation: Kibale Forest Lodge

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trackking

After breakfast you will report at the Kanyanchu Tourist Centre at 08.00 am for a briefing before trekking the chimps in the forest. The park is only accessible on foot and the walk will provide you with the opportunity to also see a variety of other primates and animals as well as birds, and a variety of butterflies, and other insects. You will have lunch and in the afternoon go set off on a return journey to Kampala arriving late in the evening.

Memorable, Amazing experience

5/5

I and my husband did a 4 days safari with this company , it was a mid range safari to our greatest surprise everything was planned according to our Budget even more. Our drive from Kampala through lake mburo national park to lake bunyonyi where we had our first night , it was so fun , lovely and enjoyable I felt so much at home then the next day we had gorilla trekking experience it was so beyond happiness ,much excitement watching those beautiful animals it was nice and we ended with a drive to queen Elizabeth national park we managed to see climbing lions and many more animals it was so interesting . Our guide Peter was good at driving ,so knowledgeable , friendly and helpful we really had so much with him and the hotels were all on point , smart , good staff and healthy meals with perfect views to nature I can't wait to do my next family safari with them again . With the great , lovely and memorable experience we had I do recommend Inland Africa Safaris LTD as the perfect company to travel with .
