Your adventure begins! After a morning briefing at the hotel, you'll be driven to Kilimanjaro National Park's entrance at Machame Gate. Once permits are obtained and registration is complete, the trek to Machame Camp begins. The trail winds through lush rainforest, where tropical showers are common, so we recommend bringing spare clothes and a raincoat.
Altitude Note: This is your first day at altitude. Drink at least 4 liters of water throughout the day, and consider taking high-altitude medication if needed. Be mindful of any symptoms of altitude sickness and report them to your guide.
Trekking Time: 5-6 hours

Afterward, you'll return to Shira Camp for a hot dinner.
