Upon arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be greeted by an Mropean Safaris representative and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a comfortable stay with cozy rooms, hot water, a swimming pool, and Internet access. In the evening, you’ll have a briefing with our team to prepare for your upcoming climb. For private tours, shared airport transfers are included, but additional individual transfers can be arranged at extra cost. To avoid extra charges, align your group's arrival and departure times.

After a morning briefing with your guide and mountain support crew, you'll travel to the Nalemuru Gate (2,020 m /6,627 ft) to start your trek. The day’s hike takes you through Kilimanjaro’s northern coniferous forest to Simba Camp (2,671 m /8,761 ft). This moderate trek is manageable with a steady pace. Once at camp, our team will have your tents set up and dinner prepared.
Trekking Time: 3-4 hours | Distance: 8 km
Following an early breakfast, you’ll trek to Kikilewa Camp (3,630 m /11,906 ft). The trek is more challenging, but you’ll be rewarded with views of Kibo Volcano if the weather permits. Upon arrival, rest and acclimatize.
Trekking Time: 5-6 hours | Distance: 10 km
Today, trek to Mawenzi Tarn Camp (4,315 m /14,156 ft) located at the base of Mawenzi Volcano. After lunch and a brief rest, embark on an acclimatization hike gaining 200 m (656 ft) in altitude before returning to camp for dinner.

Trek to Kibo Hut Camp (4,720 m /15,482 ft), where the landscape transitions to a rocky semi-desert. This trek is less strenuous, but ensure to conserve your strength for the summit climb. Rest well, stay hydrated, and avoid strenuous activity as you prepare for the night ascent.

Distance: 9 km
Begin your night ascent from Kibo Hut Camp (4,720 m /15,482 ft) to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m /19,336 ft). The summit trek, while technically straightforward, is physically demanding due to the high altitude. Climbers are paired with guides who will provide support and monitor well-being. After reaching the summit, descend to Kibo Camp for a brief rest before continuing down to Horombo Camp (3,720 m /12,202 ft).
Trekking Time: 12-14 hours
Distance: 21 km
Enjoy a warm breakfast before descending from Horombo Camp to Marangu Gate (1,970 m /6,462 ft). At the gate, celebrate your achievement, sign the guestbook, receive your commemorative certificate, and transfer back to your hotel.
