Start at 6:30 am from the hotel in Dar Es Salaam and drive to the Selous Game Reserve. After reaching Selous GR, start the afternoon boat trip. Usually, the afternoon boat trip leaves camp at 04:00 pm and returns at 6:30 pm. It's an ideal trip if you would like to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rufiji River with many hippos, crocodiles, and beautiful birdlife. The sunset can also be stunning from the boat. The Rufiji is a large wide river with several lakes branching off it for you to explore, gaining a unique view of the river's largest inhabitants. After the game drive, you'll head back to African Safari Selous.

The day will be spent on game viewing in the Game Reserve. The safari guide will point out some rare species of animals like wild dogs, sable antelopes, black rhinoceros, Nile crocodiles, and hippopotamuses. Along the banks of the Rufiji River, you'll find Cape buffalo, hartebeest, and eland. Picnic lunch and drinks will be served in the wilderness before heading back to camp for dinner and overnight to the gentle grunting of the Camp. This evening you will make a 1-hour village tour to see how village people conduct their daily activities.

After early morning breakfast at the camp, start the day with a sunrise bushwalking. Walking safaris are a fantastic way to get close to nature and learn more about the smaller species and the bush itself. It's an unforgettable experience to walk within such a vast and untamed area of the natural reserve. The walks take about 2-3 hours long and usually the walk leaves at 6:00 am-6:30 am after having a cup of tea and some homemade biscuits or doughnuts.

After walking back to the camp for breakfast, start your way to Dar Es Salaam.
