Your safari begins with a warm welcome and briefing by the Jossec Safaris team in Nairobi before boarding your 4x4 safari jeep. You’ll drive north, passing lush highlands and the breathtaking backdrop of Mt. Kenya. Arrive at Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch at Samburu Sopa Lodge or a similar accommodation.
In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive, exploring Samburu’s rugged landscapes. Keep an eye out for the Samburu Special Five – Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, Beisa oryx, and reticulated giraffe – alongside predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. After the drive, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
