You will be picked up from the airport by a representative of the oasis safaris. He will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your time of arrival you can explore Kampala city. You will stay in a nice lodge (Forest Cottages). The hotel has convenient safari style furnished rooms, equipped with satellite TV, fridge, bar, telephone, and fan, designed in harmony with the environment and aiming to fully immerse guests in a forest experience.

Today you will begin your journey to Bwindi impenetrable National Park. The long drive is incredibly scenic, passing through tea plantations and the exclusive green countryside which characterizes so much of Uganda. After about 4 hours’ drive, you stop for lunch in the suitable town Mbarara. Have time to walk around town, observe local life and/or visit the local market. Then you drive six more hours to the Broadbill Forest Camp in the middle of the forest, calm and peaceful with a fantastic view of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest or any Accommodation of your choice. The camp gives you a warm bottle and fireplace to warm yourself during the harsh conditions in the forest, plus a friendly and well trained staff that meet the international standards who do everything possible to make you feel at home.

Prepare yourself for an encounter with one of Bwindi's gentle giants: the rare mountain gorilla. For most people, this is the complete highlight of their tour in Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest boasts mountain gorillas. It also hosts five other species of primate, 113 species of mammal, over 200 butterflies and 360 bird species. The gorillas tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day. Your gorilla trekking will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, bushes and bamboo before you eventually reach the gorillas’ habitat. En-route, your guide will point out signs of previous gorilla activity, including dung, nests and chewed bamboo shoots. The time taken to track the gorillas can take as little as 1 hour to as much as 8 hours before you return! Once the gorillas have been located, your group will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is a truly embarrassing and emotional experience. This is a fantastic and privileged opportunity to get up close and personal with Uganda’s very own ‘Gorillas in the Mist’.

Your driver - guide will pick you from your lodge to transfer to Mgahinga National Park. After about 3 hours’ drive, you stop for lunch in the beautiful Kisoro town, a home to mountains. Have time to wonder around the town to observe local life. Drive more 4 hours to The Garden Place Hotel for your dinner and overnight.

Today you will wake up a bit early for your breakfast, your driver - guide will drive you to the headquarters for the briefing. He will then transfer you to the starting point, move into the forest to start on your tracking, Mgahinga gorilla tracking is very exciting along slopes of Mt. Mgahinga, the thick forest and bamboo before you eventually reach the gorilla habitat. Your ranger will still be pointing out signs of previous gorilla activity, including dung, nests and chewed bamboo shoots. The time taken to track can be as low as half an hour or as much as eight hours.

After mealtime at the lodge, you will drive back to Kampala or Entebbe (Airport) stopping at the equator for the essential snapshot and a bit of souvenir shopping.
