You'll begin your trek at the Rongai Gate, where you'll register and meet your guide and porters.
The hike starts through farmland and pine forests, gradually gaining altitude as you make your way to Simba Camp.
Trekking Time: 4-5 hours
The trail continues through moorland, with views of the Kenyan plains below.
You'll ascend through open grasslands, enjoying panoramic views of Kilimanjaro.

Today's hike takes you into the alpine desert zone, with rocky terrain and sparse vegetation.
You'll trek up to Mawenzi Tarn Camp, situated beneath the jagged peaks of Mawenzi.
Trekking Time: 3-4 hours
This day is reserved for acclimatization and relaxation at Mawenzi Tarn Camp.
You can take short hikes around the camp or simply rest and hydrate to prepare for the upcoming ascent.
Today's trek takes you across the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo, the summit cone of Kilimanjaro.
You'll arrive at Kibo Hut, your basecamp for the summit attempt.
Trekking Time: 4-5 hours
You'll wake up very early (around midnight) to begin the final ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
The trail is steep and challenging, but the reward for reaching the summit is unparalleled.
After reaching Uhuru Peak, you'll descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing down to Horombo Hut.
Trekking Time to Uhuru Peak: 6–8 hours; Descend to Horombo Hut: 4-6 hours
On the final day of the trek, you'll descend through the rainforest zone, enjoying the lush vegetation and occasional glimpses of wildlife.
You'll reach the Marangu Gate, where you'll receive your summit certificates and say farewell to your guides and porters.
Trekking Time: 5-7 hours
After breakfast, you'll transfer back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha, marking the end of your Kilimanjaro adventure.
